Lena Foroutan is an artist, educator and illustrator with a passion for teaching arts, currently lives in Gothenburg, Sweden. Lena was born and grew up in Ukraine, she received a Master’s degree in Fine arts teaching in 2004. During art school and university  she studied a big number of art techniques and materials, discovered the works of old masters and modern artists. Lena masters many art techniques, some of her favorite are acrylic, ink and pastel. Often she combines in her works realistic graphics and  paintings with decorative techniques. 

Lena holds educational art activities for kids, youths and adults, she sees education as a core aspect that shapes the role of the  professional artist and pedagogue. Through workshops and  courses she is teaching drawing, painting and sculpturing in an accessible, engaging and fun way.
